This house was built in 1911 and its 5 windows in need of repair were largely free of paint. Not pictured is the exterior of the windows which are painted. The owners couldn’t with any certainty say when the first coat of paint was put on so we still took lead paint precautions. The owners wanted the sash cords replaced as almost all had been severed at some point. A pocket cover was present for easy access to the weights. The owners did not want to restore the double hung function of these windows so I just repaired the lower sashes. These 5 windows took me 9 hours to disassemble, sand friction surfaces, replace sash cords and reassemble.
